IWC 2019 has come up with an exciting social program for you to make the most of the congress!
Aside from the Welcome Reception, each social event can be purchased individually through the registration platform. You may add an event or multiple events to your registration. To purchase tickets for those accompanying you, simply add additional tickets. Event descriptions are outlined below with their appropriate ticket costs.

Remai Modern Evening Networking Reception
Location: Remai Modern Museum
Date: July 22, 2019 (Monday)
Time: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Price: $100 CAD
Join us for a wonderful evening at the Remai Modern Art Gallery. Enjoy wonderful local food and drinks along with the chance to network with colleagues and enjoy the gallery itself. The gallery was proudly featured in the NY Times as “1 of the 52 Places to Visit This Year”.
The Remai Modern Art Gallery of Saskatchewan is a new museum of contemporary art at Saskatoon’s River Landing. This extraordinary gallery features carefully curated Canadian and international collections. It offers spectacular venue space for various events, presenting sweeping views of the South Saskatchewan River.
** Ticket cost includes a variety of interactive food stations, passed canapes and dessert, and two complimentary beverages.

Kernen Farm Tour and Dinner
Location: Kernen Farm
Date: July 24, 2019 (Wednesday)
Time: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
Price: $100 CAD
Join us for a tour of the Kernen Crop Research Farm followed by a Country Hoedown style evening.
Attendees will have the chance to visit the University of Saskatchewan’s Kernen Crop Research Farm. The station is the main wheat breeding and research hub of the University of Saskatchewan. The field tour will include a demonstration of wheat breeding and agronomy research trials, demonstration trials of historical and new wheat varieties, as well as demonstration of digital phenotyping technologies being deployed in wheat research.
Sample local foods at the delicious BBQ buffet and enjoy local beer and wine through the bar service. Enjoy local live music by Aces Wyld, Saskatchewan’s Premier Country Band!

3:00 pm: Depart from TCU Place to Kernen Farm
3:30 pm – 5:30 pm: Kernen Farm Tour
5:30 pm – 10:30 pm: Reception/Dinner
7:30 pm: Two buses will go back to TCU Place
8:00 pm: Two buses will go back to TCU Place
8:30 pm – 10.30 pm: Single buses depart every 30 minutes
10:30 pm: LAST SHUTTLE TO TCU PLACE
